About WikiJeans

WikiJeans lists jeans sold at the store for men and women, from straight classics and slim cuts to relaxed, bootcut and wide leg styles. For each pair we show what the seller wrote about the fit and the fabric, next to a price and the time we read it.

What we take from the seller

The cut, the rise, whether the denim stretches and the shade are taken from the words in the seller's title. If a title is silent about the rise or the stretch, that cell stays blank, and we do not borrow it from another size or another wash of the same jean. Sizes and inseams are the seller's own labels and are never turned into advice about fit.

Nobody here has worn a pair

We have not put any of these on, washed them or watched them fade. There is therefore no verdict on comfort, no claim about shrinking and no ranking by how a pair looks after a year. A size chart, owners' reviews and a fitting room are better judges of fit than a catalogue.

The price and when it was read

Every amount was read from the store at a stated time and is printed with it. Once a reading has aged we withdraw it: leaving an old amount on show as if it were current would do more harm than a blank. The store's page settles today's price.

Guides and Learn

The guides set jeans side by side on stated cuts and prices only. The Learn pages explain terms such as rise, selvedge and stretch from maker and fiber-body pages, and the front page says how many jeans we cover.
